In February 2022, Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. and JENOPTIK Industrial Metrology Germany GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "Jenoptik") signed a brand license agreement for optical measuring instruments in Japan.

With this agreement, the company's flagship optical shaft measurement system, “Opticline”, has been added to Tokyo Seimitsu's new product portfolio and has begun supplying the Japanese market under the OEM brand “Shaftcom”.

In addition, Accretech (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tokyo Seimitsu Thailand") and PRECISION TOOLING SERVICE CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "PTSC"), Jenoptik's exclusive distributor in Thailand, have started collaborating on the sales and the provision of after-sales service of the "Opticline Series" shaft shape measuring instrument. We interviewed the persons in charge of the two companies about the aims of the collaboration and the strengths of the products.

Cooperation Enhances Mutual Customer Base

“The response to the license agreement between Tokyo Seimitsu and Jenoptik in Japan has been great in Thailand, and after the press release, we have received inquiries from several Japanese-affiliated companies in Thailand about purchasing through Tokyo Seimitsu Thailand. We also sought to offer this product to Japanese-affiliated companies in Thailand and to support the repeat introduction of Shaftcom (Opticline) in Thailand after its introduction in Japan. This is the background that led to this collaboration. In the Japanese market, Tokyo Seimitsu is the exclusive distributor of the optical shaft measuring instrument in the name of "Shaftcom". In the Thai market, we will be the agent of PTSC, the exclusive distributor of Jenoptik, and we will offer Opticline to Japanese-affiliated companies," says Mr. Thanapon of Accretech.

Jenoptic's "Opticline C Series" excels in high-speed, high-precision measurement of shaft-shaped workpieces. It is suitable for measuring camshafts, crankshafts, gear shafts, bearings, rotary shock absorbers of disc brakes, etc.

PTSC has knowledgeable and experienced Opticline specialist engineers on staff and accepts measurement tests with actual parts at its showroom. The company also provides after-sales services such as equipment installation, handling training, maintenance, and calibration. Regarding calibration in particular, only PTSC has the calibration equipment in Thailand. In addition, PTSC offers free support for any other problems that occur within one year of purchase.
