‘ Aisin Industrial’, a niche-leading manufacturer of powder and granules equipment – aims to be a company that strives together with customers also in Thailand

Shinji Muramatsu
Factory Director

Aisin Industrial, a specialized manufacturer of powder and granules equipment, was founded in 1972. It coincides with the time when Japan became a major economic power in the world, through a period of high economic growth and began to challenge the automation and labor saving of production processes. To date, we have delivered a total of over 100,000 powder and granules equipment in Japan alone. The market spans a wide range from general chemistry to food, medical care, ceramics, rubber, and metals, and contributes to the development of all industries from the niche world of "powder and granules."

Our lifestyle that begins with "powder"

Among various types of powder and granules equipment, our main products are a powder supply and discharge machine called a Rotary valve (Rotary feeder) and a branch valve for powder and granules pneumatic transportation called a Ball diverter valve.

The company has the largest market share of rotary valve in Japan and has many achievements. Although the supply and discharge performance of the required equipment varies depending on the purpose, we listen carefully to the customer's requirements and propose the best one from combinations of all specifications.

Bringing Aisin's technology and security to Thailand and ASEAN

Overseas expansion began with the opening of a Chinese subsidiary in 2008. We established our 100% subsidiary, “Wuxi Aixin Mechanical Technology Co., Ltd.” in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, and worked on sales and maintenance of equipment. As the number of customers has increased, we have started receiving many inquiries for equipment installation. Thus, we have also taken on the challenge of engineering business for designing and selling equipment such as dust collectors as well as powder and granules equipment.

The Thai corporation was launched in May 2018, which was our second overseas establishment. As inquiries from all over the ASEAN region including Vietnam and Indonesia have been referring to the head office in Japan one after another, we decided to expand. Utilizing Thailand as a hub of ASEAN, we also export equipment. In India, we started a joint venture with a long-established local manufacturer in December 2019. [Aishin India Private Limited]

The market for powder and granules equipment is still immature not only in Thailand but also in a whole of ASEAN. There, we believe is a great potential for us to contribute. There are many promising growth industries such as chemistry in general like rubber and resin, food, and battery related fields. While working closely with Thai local companies, we are to develop proposal activities in conjunction with maintenance services.

Powder and granules equipment that also contributes to automation and labor saving in Thailand

Our products will also contribute to customers in terms of equipment automation and labor saving. From an early stage, we started development of "visualization" of abnormalities using IoT, such as detecting foreign matter in powder and granules equipment and automatically stopping the machine when it comes into contact with humans. In the future, this will dramatically reduce worker injuries and human error. There is no doubt that these will be demanded in Thailand, where the wave of automation will accelerate.

As a niche-leading manufacturer of powder and granules equipment, we provide products with the highest quality and full of originality not only in Japan but also in Thailand. Ever since our establishment, we are not just selling the equipment but would like to continue to be a company that visits sites with a simple honesty, share worries, and strives to grow together with customers.
