CAD/CAM software company CGS ASIA signed a distribution agreement with Renishaw (Hongkong) Limited on December 16, 2024, becoming the authorized distributor of Renishaw products in Thailand. Partnership Between Renishaw and CGS ASIA
CGS ASIA provides comprehensive customer support not only within Thailand but also across ASEAN countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Founded in 1973, Renishaw has been a pioneer in the fields of precision measurement and engineering. The company is especially renowned for developing the world’s first workpiece measurement probe that can be used on CNC lathes. Its Thai subsidiary, established in 2005, has since been offering technical support and product information.
CGS ASIA has started offering the following Renishaw products:
• Machine Tool Probes – probe heads for machine tools
• Styli – contact measurement stylus heads
• Calibration Kits – sets of tools for calibrating workpieces before measurement
There is significant overlap between the user bases of the two companies, and many manufacturers who already use CGS software are seeking Renishaw products. This partnership enables the companies to offer users more comprehensive support and valuable solutions, addressing both software and hardware needs.
