It’s been five years since Industrial filter “FILSTAR”, which removes impurities without an element and with unique flow control, has penetrated into the Thai market. In the beginning, we continued to visit our potential customers one by one or selling via a trading company, but recently we have received inquiries from our existing customer’s Thai affiliate that their mother company already introduced FILSTAR in Japan, which is a new sales expansion for us.

One of them is TAKAMATSU MACHINERY (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading machine tool manufacturer. Managing director, Mr. Eiji Yamashita was also one of the existing customers in Japan. That's why we invited Mr. Yamashita and the industria (Thailand) local corporation president, Mr. Kensuke Goto, to our office for an interview.

Inevitably Attractive Maintenance-Free High-Performance Filtration Device

Mr.Yamashita : I used to be in charge of sales at the head office in Japan. The customers asked us, "Are there any good ways to reduce the frequency of cleaning the filters?" They said mud-like dirt (sludge) from the drainage causes clogging. When they were busy, it could get clogged twice a day. It caused loss of time at work. This was a trigger for the introduction of FILSTAR when I started to look for a way out.

I can’t say that I’m not responsible for the rest after selling the machine tools. We are of course responsible as a sales manufacturer. At that time, a purchasing manager at the head office introduced us to “a very useful product”, which was FILSTAR.

I grabbed the opportunity immediately without a thought. “Remove impurities with water flow only, this is amazing,” I thought, “and it is elementless.” Fortunately, we have a culture that actively embraces these new things. If it is a product with excellent functions, it will also increase the added value of our machine tools, lathes and other machines manufactured by us. Through the above processes, we have come to offer set sales to meet the needs of our customers.

Editor team: Please tell us how you stared trading with Takamatsu Machinery in Thailand.

Mr.Goto: Right after moving into Thailand, we tried to increase our recognition in the Thai market by promoting at METALEX and other international trade fairs. After joining several exhibitions, I reunited with Takamatsu Machinery at one of the exhibitions. Then I got a chance to offer FILSTAR to them again.

Even in Thailand, maintenance and filter replacement are unnecessary when using FILSTAR, contributing to cost reduction and productivity improvement!

Mr.Yamamoto: As I didn’t know that Industria had opened in Thailand, I was surprised when I met them again at the exhibition. After that, we considered selling the same set as in Japan in Thailand. I have used FILSTAR many times in Japan, so I know the effects well. However, it is necessary to have Thai staff fully consider it. Therefore, I asked Industria to provide a trial for effect confirmation. Mr. Goto happily accepted my request.

Mr.Goto: What I felt when exhibiting at the trade fair was that many Thai customers are also interested in elementless filters. Although the selling price of FILSTAR is more expensive than other filtration devices, its cost performance is better considering the running cost and the time and effort after installation. I felt grateful that the Thai staff at Takamatsu Machinery immediately realized the effectiveness of FILSTAR. From now on, we would like to dig up customers who have a track record in Japan like this and machine tool manufacturers that are producing locally and introduce our products to them.

Management of Personal Information

The Company will maintain the accuracy of personal information and manage it safely.
The Company will take appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, destruction, tampering or leakage of personal information.
The Company will take precautionary measures against the loss, destruction, tampering, and leakage of personal information through appropriate system maintenance of the operating system and education of employees.

Request for Notification, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use of Personal Information

In the case the Company receives request from the individual user regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of personal information, stoppage of use by a third party or notification of use, after confirmation that the requester is the individual user, the Company will respond without delay in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Note that in the case that the request does not meet the requirements stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Act, or the reason to reject such request is permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the request may not be fulfilled.

In addition, there is no payment required or fees associated with the request for disclosure by the individual user. However, the cost of communication from the individual user to the Company, transportation expenses, and expenses associated with the preparation of materials for the purposes of individual identification will be the responsibility of the individual user.

Revision of Privacy Policy: The Company will review the operational status of the handling of personal information and make efforts for continuous improvement, and may change the Policy as necessary. After such changes to the Policy, the Policy will be published on the Company’s website.
