So June-san, when did you decide to become an engineer and what is the nature of your work at industria (Thailand)?
I chose to work as an engineer because I didn't have a desire to work in the service industry such as hotels. I like challenging and adventurous work, so I studied engineering and decided to work as an engineer. Right after graduating from Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon campus in 2017, I joined industria (Thailand).
Having graduated in engineering, I would like to work in the same field to be able to fully utilize the knowledge and skills I have acquired. Moreover, I enjoy working as an engineer because there are many opportunities to learn new technologies not only in the mechanical industry but also in the manufacturing industry. Since joining the company in 2019, I have been working as an engineer, mainly servicing customers who purchase industria products, performing on-site inspection works before installing the products, and testing the products for customers who are interested in FILSTAR.
At manufacturing factories, coolant fluid is filtrated through various filters for reuse, but what makes FILSTAR superior to other filters?
Well, as has been repeatedly mentioned in the news, FILSTAR is an element-less filter, so there is no need for filters as consumables. In machines such as CNC that use cooling water, chips and sediments are generated during the machining of workpieces and get mixed in with the cooling water. Some of these sludges are so small that they pass through the mesh of typical filters.
As you know, when cooling water mixed with sludge is sprayed on a workpiece, the workpiece is damaged. Further, the sludge clogs the pipes, and the machine has to be disassembled and repaired.FILSTAR is a flow path structure that separates and precipitates sludge using a patented method unique to industria, that is the force of centrifugation can remove fine debris of 10μ or more.
If the solid sediments cannot be removed, the amount of cooling water will be reduced and will need to be replenished frequently. FILSTAR is able to remove all of these sediments, so the amount of cooling water remains the same, eliminating the need for cooling water to be changed frequently or replenished. In addition, since it will be possible to use the filtrated cooling water for a long period of time, I think that it will be possible to cut costs in various parts. Although the initial investment of FILSTAR is required, the amount that can be saved by cutting running costs exceeds the initial investment amount.
We heard that there are some precautions to be taken when using FILSTAR. What does that mean?
I would like to share some points to note when using FILSTAR, based on what I have learned while taking care of customers.If the inside of the FILSTAR is not cleaned before the holidays or the shut-down of a production line, dry debris will stick to the inside. This will prevent FILSTAR from performing at its full potential when the line is restarted, so please be sure to clean it at all times. We can support customers to solve these problems at no extra cost.
For smaller FILSTARs, it is recommended to clean the drain cup by removing any debris that may have accumulated in it before starting to use it. This will prolong the service life of the drain cup and prevent valves from breaking down too soon.

The last question, what does June-san think are the appeal points of FILSTAR?
I personally think that FILSTAR is a great product with no need to replace filters or other parts and no maintenance required.This saves the customer the time it takes to replace parts.
