Our Vital Effort towards a healthier “Environment” Contribution to Corporate Activities with the Knowledge from Master’s Courses

The industrial filter “FILSTAR” doesn’t require elements and removes impurities with centrifugal force. Industria Pte. Ltd. (JAPAN) developed Filstar to improve factory quality and also realize environmental management. Many companies in Thailand have been astonished with its amazingly high performance. However, it’s true that the initial investment is not really reasonable, and at some points our customers tend to hesitate. Under these situations, we have a staff person who has tried to create verification data and present it to customers from the engineer's point of view. That is Ms. Tak, an engineer, who has worked with us for 1 year. We asked her what approaches she’s taking when explaining Filstar’s benefits to customers.

Tak：My main task is to summarize the testing results in reports in order to help our customers make a good judgment when they introduce “FILSTAR”. It is not just creating data. If customers introduce “FILSTAR”, it will of course reduce total cost. In addition, I try to show how much less it will affect the global environment in as much detail as possible by analyzing on a daily or hourly basis, and I summarize the data in graphs and charts so that our customers can understand everything more easily.

I take this approach because in this era, companies can’t use such conventional logic that their own profit is the only importance in corporate activities. As a person living on this earth and a company that receives some benefits from this blue planet, we have a responsibility to manufacture good and environmentally-friendly products. This move is obvious from the fact that international standards set by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) have incorporated an environmental management system (ISO 14001) recently. It is an important and necessary theme for corporate activities to work on environmental management.

FILSTAR is quite an excellent product at this point. It can remove only waste from dirty water. If we adjust the pH (hydrogen ion index), the dirty water can be used as recycled water. Also, it doesn’t need elements, so there is no need of changing consumables and their wrapping materials. From mid to long term, this is an excellent product to solve many environmental problems in factories at once.

Tak：In most cases, I visit customers with a sales representative, and request for a sample of the drainage water in the factory first. I analyze the sample as a test body in two patterns 1) if FILSTAR is used and 2) if FILSTAR isn’t used, and I show both data to the customer. I am always careful not to pursue short-term benefits at this point. I try to stay objective from the perspective of the customer and in a scientific position, so that the customer can judge the results by themselves. I strongly believe FILSTAR has such potential.

I’m interested in the environment this much partially because it is related to my research on he environmental technology of water processing during my Master’s program at Naresuan University. I researched about how the greatest flooding impacted central Thailand in 2011. I developed a block that could process dirty water and was self-cleaned by itself. At that time, industrial estates were under water, and they ended up stopping their operation, but also their production lines and factories turned out to be useless after the flood receded because of the dirty water. The total amount of industrial waste turned out to be surprisingly enormous. In order to prevent this from happening again, I worked on the development of self-cleaning block.

I appreciate my lucky situation that I can utilize my knowledge from my master’s courses at work. I work with my boss and colleagues whom I can talk easily with and be quite friendly. It’s my great pleasure to be able to contribute even a little thing to Thai manufacturing companies and their corporate activities. Management of Personal Information

The Company will maintain the accuracy of personal information and manage it safely.
The Company will take appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, destruction, tampering or leakage of personal information.
The Company will take precautionary measures against the loss, destruction, tampering, and leakage of personal information through appropriate system maintenance of the operating system and education of employees.

Request for Notification, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use of Personal Information

In the case the Company receives request from the individual user regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of personal information, stoppage of use by a third party or notification of use, after confirmation that the requester is the individual user, the Company will respond without delay in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Note that in the case that the request does not meet the requirements stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Act, or the reason to reject such request is permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the request may not be fulfilled.

In addition, there is no payment required or fees associated with the request for disclosure by the individual user. However, the cost of communication from the individual user to the Company, transportation expenses, and expenses associated with the preparation of materials for the purposes of individual identification will be the responsibility of the individual user.

Revision of Privacy Policy: The Company will review the operational status of the handling of personal information and make efforts for continuous improvement, and may change the Policy as necessary. After such changes to the Policy, the Policy will be published on the Company’s website.
