【Providing high-level of precision machining in Thailand and ASEAN】 Three reasons why customers trust products of Kyowa NT

Kyowa NT (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has completed the second factory in October 2018 and strengthened its production capacity further with a total of 200 employees. While the number of orders is increasing year by year, even now, we continue to produce products without compromising on quality through “high precision” and “quick delivery” which have always been our company’s visions since the establishment in Thailand in 2013. As an expert on precision machining, what are the reasons for the great trust that Kyowa NT receives from customers? There are three main reasons.

1. Synergistic effect from a joint venture between a Japanese part manufacturer and a Thai precision machining company.

Kyowa Kogyo Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of automotive and electronic parts that has been supporting Japanese high-quality manufacturing for more than 50 years, and National Tool Co., Ltd. which has a reputation for precision machining using special tools made in-house. These two companies had brought together the different technologies and established a joint venture company called Kyowa NT (Thailand) Co., Ltd.. National Tool focused on machining of aluminum parts in an early stage when aluminum was becoming an indispensable material for current automobiles that are heading towards a lighter weight, while other companies did not undertake aluminum machining due to the difficulty in machining.

For this reason, National Tool became a pioneer in machining of difficult-to-cut material and quickly developed superior machining technology and built the latest production line. By combining this technology with the advanced machining technology that Kyowa Kogyo possessed, Kyowa NT has continued to produce reliable products that many customers have trusted since expanding business to Thailand.

2. Numbers of advanced machines that make use of staff technical skill efficiently.

As one of the companies that own the largest number of machines and equipment, Kyowa NT has more than 100 machines, such as CNC Automatic Lathes and CNC Lathes that can perform high-precision machining even for complex shapes, Machining Centers that are indispensable for metal processing, and various types of Grinding Machines for finishing part with precise dimension. In addition, there are about 10 equipment required for machining operations, all of which contribute to on-time delivery and production cost reduction by improving work efficiency. Furthermore, 11 measuring equipment, such as 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Image dimension measuring machine, Contracer measuring machine and Roundness measuring machine, installed in Kyowa NT can perform highly accurate measurement and evaluation of machining parts with any kinds of shape.

Of course, it's not just the number. Many of these advanced machines and equipment can fully demonstrate their ability only with the technical skills of well-trained staffs. Even in the mass production stage, the quality of each product is maintained by the high technology of measuring equipment and advanced skill of staffs.

3. Training system that provides Japanese standard technology to Thai staffs.

We believe that the degree of completeness of our products depends on how well we can maintain technical level inherited from the parent companies and the accurate operation of each machine. For this reason, Kyowa NT never fails to provide thorough internal and external training for technical staffs, one of which is the training system in Japan. We send around seven technical staffs to Japan every three months to learn the basic concept of manufacturing Japanese-level products, how to operate each machine and learn the skills from Japanese professionals. After returning to Thailand, by passing on and teaching the content that the trainees have learned in Japan to other technical staffs, those who have not participated in the training can also obtain Japanese-level techniques and skills, and able to nurture many excellent staffs.

Other than training, Kyowa NT also focuses on creating a comfortable working environment by regularly surveying employee satisfaction. Increasing the level of employee satisfaction may increase the retention rate of employees and, as a result, it may lead to stable technical capabilities. This makes it possible for us to provide products with consistent quality over the years.

Kyowa NT has succeeded in bringing out products that customers can trust by focusing on both hard side and soft side. Currently, we are mainly producing automotive parts, but from now, we are aiming to start producing small/fine products as well, such as parts for air conditioners, printers and fishing gears.

Kyowa NT can respond flexibly to delivery lead times and production lot sizes so please feel free to contact us regarding any machining works.
