Brass brazing

Brazing filler metal made of an alloy of copper and zinc with additive elements, also referred to as shinchu (brass) brazing. It is mainly used for brazing of similar metals such as copper and copper alloys. It also has good joining properties with iron-based alloys.

As the electrical conductivity, boiling point, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, processability, etc. differ depending on the ratio of zinc contained in the brazing filler metal and the additive elements, it is important to select brass brazing in accordance to the purpose.
