In previous article, we introduced ‘Round2’ as our Gold Partner of SAP. This article aims to provide an example of the implementation of the SAP System. Our client, Magotteaux, operates in 26 countries and employs 3,000 people worldwide. Given this global presence, it is desirable to achieve consistency in the application supporting their major business processes
In fact, the necessity extends beyond this, Magotteaux has been considering the optimization of ERP systems for increased efficiency. The company aims to facilitate communication, information exchange, and collaboration through a consistent database and reporting system. This will consequently allow Magotteaux to expedite the decision-making process and provide access to the company’s indicators. Opting for SAP as its main system is the solution to this challenge.
Problems encountered before using the SAP System
Before the introduction of SAP, Magotteaux considered the implementation of their old ERP system to be too decentralized. As a result, despite extensive use, this system fell short in terms of collaboration between entities—it was not harmonized. This led to a shift towards global projects instead of local ones.
After the introduction of SAP, in order to gain the optimal level of benefits—including improved communication, a consistent database, efficient master data management, and enhanced reporting, which bring a tremendous amount of value to the business—significant transformation was required. Magotteaux’s CIO insists that this transformation requires considerable effort through several phases, including stabilization, user training, familiarization, and continuity of usage.
