In the manufacturing industry, DX means not only accumulating know-how and data cultivated on the production floor as experiential assets, but also making information easier to share through digitalization. By leveraging this data to shorten lead times, improve productivity, and enhance quality, DX aims to transform revenue models.
The key to successful DX lies in effectively utilizing collected data and feeding it back into management resources. The ideal form of DX is achieved when two capabilities work together like interlocking gears: the “ability to connect,” which integrates and controls various types of data using cloud, big data, and analytics technologies; and the “ability to utilize,” which applies that data through BI, AI, and other applications to support management decision-making. To realize this, accurate data collection is a prerequisite.

Although DX is gradually spreading in Thailand, many manufacturing sites still lack sufficient data collection at the core.
For example, there are cases where physical goods and information are not properly synchronized on the production floor. In such situations, no matter how well systems are designed to utilize data and enable faster decision-making, meaningful results cannot be achieved. Making adjustments based on data that does not accurately reflect reality may even cause further confusion at the site.
There are also many workplaces where inefficient manual operations are taken for granted, consuming excessive time and labor, or where new systems have been introduced but operators are unable to use them effectively.
Taking a typical manufacturing site as an example, there are various approaches to system implementation and data utilization at each process stage.

Each of these initiatives can be considered part of DX. However, it is impossible for any single person to fully grasp all challenges and conditions within a company. Even when individual departments are already working on systemization, they often fail to align with one another or contain weak points that hinder overall profitability.
To realize DX, it is essential to first clarify the vision and objectives—what the company ultimately aims to achieve. Thai NS Solutions goes beyond system development and implementation. We help identify hidden issues at our clients’ sites and chart a clear path toward resolution. In particular, we have accumulated extensive experience in supporting Japanese companies, building expertise that overcomes communication barriers between Japanese and Thai teams.
“We often receive broad inquiries such as, “We want to promote DX, but we don’t know where to start.” By working closely with our clients’ operations or taking a bird’s-eye view of the entire organization, we can uncover solutions that are difficult to identify internally.”

“Our strength lies in leveraging the knowledge we have accumulated over many years in Thailand to define requirements together with our clients, and then implementing optimal systems on a Make-To-Order basis. Because there are still few vendors in Thailand that can support clients from the stage of designing an optimal business vision, we have received strong recognition for this capability.” (Sales / Asai)
