What is "CUBIC PARTNERS"?
Chairman Miyagawa talks about the concept of the business alliance in Thailand

I am Miyagawa of Okuma Techno (Thailand), the chairman of CUBIC PARTNERS. I look forward to working with you.

The name "CUBIC PARTNERS (hereinafter C.P.)" was inspired by the English acronym of "Three Cs" for cooperation, creation, and challenging, which expresses our desire to provide information useful to our customers in Thailand.

"Cooperation" through information dissemination
"Creation" of new values and proposals through corporate alliances
"Challenging" to create new solutions that are difficult to achieve on a stand-alone basis

In Thailand, considered while competing with inexpensive machine tools such as those made in Taiwan and China, the idea behind the establishment of C.P. was to provide customers with high value-added information through cooperation among companies.

As a machine tool manufacturer, we have been selling high-quality and high-precision Japanese-made machines in Thailand, but when we asked ourselves, "How can we help our customers to maximize the use of Okuma machine tools?", we realized that a series of systems, including the tools required for cutting, programs to run automated machines, measurement, and chip disposal, are indispensable.

However, when customers try to collect information on machine tools, the sources of information are limited compared to Japan. We have long felt that it is necessary for the manufacturing side (manufacturers) to provide more content that helps customers to make effective use of machines.

Therefore, we decided to take the lead in contacting tool manufacturers, CAD/CAM manufacturers, measurement instrument manufacturers, and other peripheral equipment manufacturers to establish a foundation for making useful and practical proposals to our customers.

Development and prospects of "CUBIC PARTNERS"

We have started to post our partners' contents on our Facebook every Friday beginning on April 1.Furthermore, we will launch a portal site for C.P. together with our partners in May to disseminate information, including the contents posted on Facebook.

This site will be an information site that aggregates industry-related information, ranging from basic knowledge to derivative information such as peripheral devices. We plan to have a blog for each manufacturer (a page where information can be freely transmitted) on the site, making it possible for customers to obtain all the information they need in one place.

For example, we aim to create content that aggregates all kinds of information so that individual customers at a work site can obtain various information. We also want to provide our customers with various maintenance information. Professionals from each company will provide information, such as the maintenance of cutting tools and holders as well as maintenance of processing machines.

In the future, preventive maintenance will be emphasized, and information such as preventing a processing machine from breaking/tool breakage, timing of regrinding for cutting tools, and chip disposal will be of great benefit to the customer.

After working for 10 to 20 years, there are some rudimentary things that are hard to ask others. For example, getting information on the “correct use of measuring instruments” may lead to new awareness. There is also the benefit that people can re-recognize our processing accuracy through correct measurement.

In addition to the above, we would like to hold various events of our own, such as seminars jointly planned by manufacturers. We also believe that if other peripheral manufacturers can join, we will be able to provide even more useful information to our customers.

Please look forward to future developments.
