Parts machining: GIGAFEEDER
This is a large-size parts machining center developed for purpose of machining aluminum frame parts and battery trays used in EV parts. It can be equipped with up to six spindles and is based on Sugino Machine's drilling/tapping unit "SELFEEDER." It is a highly productive and versatile machining center that takes up less space compared to large-size machining centers, yet it is faster and allowing a wide range of machining operations such as cutting, drilling, and tapping to be performed on a single unit. ▶ Explaining the features of GIGAFEEDER！

From a safety perspective, "cleanliness" is important for EV parts. However, EV parts have many tap holes with small diameters, making them difficult to clean. Many workplaces may be concerned about chips and swarf remaining during machining. Sugino Machine's high-pressure washing machine accurately targets areas that require removal of dirt and burrs (tap holes, oil holes, water jacket holes, etc.) and cleans them with the optimal pressure to achieve high-precision cleaning without damaging the workpiece. In particular, seal surfaces, which are common in EV workpiece, are vulnerable to oil and cleaning methods are limited, but our high-pressure washing machine is also suitable for degreasing seal surfaces.

Energy consumption can be minimized by optimizing the cleaning conditions according to the required quality of cleanliness and deburring, and by varying the pressure of the high-pressure water generating pump.
