From February 5 to 7, 2025, the 'YUASA Grand Fair in Thailand,' hosted by Yuasa Trading (Thailand) (Head Office: Yuasa Trading Co., Ltd., in Japan), took place at the BITEC Bang Na Exhibition and Convention Center. This large-scale exhibition brought together over 200 Japanese-affiliated companies, primarily from the manufacturing industry, to showcase innovative technologies and solutions. Takamatsu Machinery has maintained a long-standing relationship with Yuasa Trading in both Japan and Thailand, which led to its participation in this event.

Promoting Automatic Lathes Equipped with an Auto-Loader System

The main purpose of participating in the exhibition was to widely raise awareness of the quality of TAKAMAZ brand lathes. Since this was the first time the event was held in Thailand, the company also aimed to research customer needs and gain experience in the Thai market.

In line with market trends, two types of lathes were showcased, with a focus on the auto-loader system that enhances factory automation.

■ XWT-8 (8-inch) 2-Spindle, 2-Turret Precision Lathe
This lathe, which was previously controlled exclusively by the Takamatsu Machinery loader system, now supports workpiece feeding via the FANUC loader system, enhancing its versatility. As part of the TAKAMAZ XW series, it is capable of advanced machining and meets production demands in both Asia and Europe. Additionally, it features a 21.5-inch FANUC TOUGH touch panel, improving operability and visibility.

■ XTS-6 (6-inch) Smallest Lathe in the 6-inch Class
This compactly designed lathe features energy-saving functions to reduce power consumption and a proprietary thermal displacement compensation system (ThermonyⓇ), ensuring high-precision cutting unaffected by environmental changes.

"We had more visitors to our booth than expected. What sets this event apart from others is its ability to bring together solutions from a wide range of industries, including machine tools, industrial machinery, energy-saving equipment, construction machinery, and construction materials. Since this is the first time the event has been held in Thailand, our focus this year was on gathering insights into visitor needs. Moving forward, we plan to tailor the event to meet customer demands in the coming years. We anticipate that the future trend will be multifunctional machines that can simultaneously reduce work processes and cut costs." (Executive Director Mr. Atipol)
