PT. TAKAMAZ INDONESIA, a subsidiary of Takamatsu Machinery Co., Ltd. in Japan, was established as part of the company’s global expansion to provide high-precision CNC lathes to the Indonesian market. In this feature, we introduce our flagship products, backed by a responsive service structure tailored to local needs and a flexible, agile sales network that ensures dependable support and timely delivery throughout the region.
Our team consists of eight dedicated staff members, including two local engineers and three local sales representatives. This setup enables us to respond quickly to repair requests and supply spare parts efficiently, helping to minimize downtime and maintain stable machine operation. We also provide maintenance support for equipment brought in from Japan, even if it was not purchased locally—offering long-term reliability and peace of mind to our customers. Furthermore, we regularly conduct technical training for engineers from our trading company partners, contributing to the overall enhancement of technical skills across the Indonesian market.
We have approximately 30 registered sales agents, with 7 to 8 serving as key partners that consistently contribute to stable and reliable sales. Our sales network is primarily built around major Japanese trading companies such as Yamazen, Yuasa Trading, Hamamatsu Trading, and MC Technos (a Mitsubishi Corporation group company). After-sales service and parts supply are handled directly by our team, ensuring a comprehensive and dependable support system for end users.
Our flagship product, the “GSL Series,” is known for its high rigidity and precision, with over 200 units sold in the Indonesian market alone. When including units imported before the establishment of our local subsidiary, the total number of machines operating in Indonesia approaches 1,000—demonstrating the strong reputation and trust we have built in the local market.
The XT Series, developed with automation in mind, is customized in Japan before being exported to Indonesia. We also have a strong track record of maintaining local inventory and providing comprehensive on-site support for delivery, installation, and setup within the Indonesian market.
We currently maintain a consistent local inventory of approximately 10 machines and a full range of spare parts, ensuring a reliable and prompt supply system to meet customer needs at any time.
In the Indonesian market, many Japanese lathe manufacturers have yet to establish a fully developed local service infrastructure. In contrast, we have built a direct, on-the-ground service system as a manufacturer, setting ourselves apart from the competition. While some competitors hold a certain market share, we take pride in steadily expanding our presence in Indonesia driven by flexible, detail-oriented support tailored to local needs and backed by the trust and proven track record we’ve cultivated over the years.
