No need for a special terminal! Character recognition (OCR) handy terminal app ‘MC Lens’ that can be read with a smartphone

Until now, there have been a myriad of free applications for character recognition (OCR), but in the reality, many of them cannot be used for business purposes due to low reading accuracy. There are only a few paid applications that included manufacturer support with guaranteed reading performance, and these were generally paired with a handy terminal (special terminal).
This time, our company, Mars Tohken Solutions, has developed an OCR software application MC Lens that does not require a special terminal and can be used with common Android-compatible smartphones. We will start selling to Thailand and ASEAN.
Industry's first! Low-cost wireless handy terminal with high reading accuracy
While automation is being promoted in a wide range of industries such as manufacturing and logistics, the average price of wireless handy terminals is expensive, so we believe that there are many sites that are interested in automation but are not ready to implement it.
The MC Lens has have been developed to meet such on-site concerns. Its greatest strength is that it is scanner-less, supports reading of characters in addition to image information such as a 2D barcode reader, and can be offered at a lower price than general handy terminal solutions.
