This time we will introduce “YAMAHA’s industrial robots”. YAMAHA’s best-selling robot is an orthogonal robot with single axis-3axis. “YAMAHA” has a brand power supported by the performance and there are many users who have been using it for a long time. They also have their own technology that other companies don’t have, such as the Linear Conveyor Module (LCM) and Camera Link Robots which can be controlled with common software. We will introduce the products using video.

Orthogonal Robot

Industrial robots with brand power” That is YAMAHA’s robots.

As YAMAHA’s industrial robots were originally developed for the purpose of the automation of the facility for assembling engines in YAMAHA’s office, they have high rigidity and a long life, and they are boasting a high repeat ratio. For that reason, there are many customers who “use only YAMAHA!” in our customer base. YAMAHA’s robots have high accuracy and high rigidity, which inexpensive robots do not have, and can be used for a long time. Therefore, there are some users having “a special brand image” of YAMAHA’s robots.

The product selling well in Thailand is an orthogonal robot with a single axis -3 axis!

YAMAHA’s robot handling in our company which has the most inquiries is “an orthogonal robot with a single axis -3 axis”. It can be used in a wide range of applications, such as assembly and inspection with the high rigidity and high accuracy only YAMAHA has. It can contribute to the reduction of down-time (Non-operating time) with a simple design. The product life is also long and the cost of equipment can be reduced.

YAMAHA’s own technology ① LCM

Furthermore, YAMAHA has their own technology that other companies don’t have. The first one is the “Linear Conveyor Module (LCM)”. It is a transport system applying a linear motor to the robot. As it is a module type, it has a high flexibility of design, and even though the process changes, it can be adjusted and adapted easily, so it is an excellent product usable for a long time. It is YAMAHA’s own transport system that others don’t have.

YAMAHA’s own technology ② Cameras = robot integrated control software

The second one is excellent software. The system that a camera and a robot are linked is not uncommon, but in most cases, a camera and a robot are independent and each one is controlled separately. YAMAHA has a system to control a camera and a robot integrally with the same software platform. Of course, this system has higher linkage, so it is efficient and the productivity will increase. Moreover, the failure rate will be low.

What we have seen is the movement to pick up the dice placed in a random position accurately and classify it according to the number on the dice. LCM and Cameras = robot integrated control technology. It has barely spread in Thailand yet, but we are thinking that we would like to spread it into more industries and companies in the future.
