This demo shows inspection of small components (chip components) sealed in a carrier tape, from the top and the bottom, right after the taping process.
After taping, the components are already sealed in a transparent carrier tape. In this demo, the lighting is specially tuned so that surface and edge defects are clearly seen through the sealed tape. Every part can be checked without opening the pack.
The parts in the pockets are captured from the top and the bottom. So defects that happen in the packaging process — contamination, wrong part orientation, wrong position in the pocket — are caught here, at this process, not at your customer's line.
