This is Kiyono from Nihon Denkei (Thailand). In this article, I will introduce the "Large-capacity smart AC / DC programmable power supply "PCR-WEA/WEA2 series" from Kikusui Electronics, for which we are the distributor in Thailand.

▲15 models line-up maximum power ranges from 1kVA to 36kVA

In Thailand, there is an increasing number of inquiries for a large-capacity AC testing equipment from manufacturers of automobiles (development evaluation of PHEV vehicles) and air conditioners-related products, for which sales are going well.

Kikusui's AC / DC programmable power supply, which boasts the top share in Japan, can test any product that operates with AC from small to large capacity, such as small batteries (AC adapters) and large devices, such as household appliances and airplanes.

4 features of the AC / DC programmable power supply PCR-WEA/WEA2 series

The PCR-WEA/WEA2 series are ultra-compact / high-power density and high-performance PWM inverter-type large-capacity AC / DC programmable power supplies.

① Compact Size

Compared to our previous models, the size of the PCR-WE has been drastically reduced by 60%. Even the size is more compact. The efficiency of the equipment has improved (the higher efficiency reduces the power supply capacity of the input required for output, resulting in lower electricity costs). "Ultra-high-power density" is realized with a single unit of 36 kVA. The larger the capacity of the model, the greater the effect of space savings.

② Parallel Operation Available

Parallel operation is available on all models by simply connecting a parallel operation cable and can combine up to "large capacity 144kVA" easily. Models with different capacities can be combined, so even if the power capacity of the equipment under test increases later, it is possible to increase the capacity by paralleling the model with the capacity that is no longer sufficient. (Limited to models of 6kVA or higher)

③ Application software for various testing

Application software, such as the power line disturbance immunity test software "SD009-PCR-LE / WE" compatible with the latest standard IEC61000-4 and the avionics test software "SD012-PCR-LE / WE" compatible with the power standard test of aircraft-mounted equipment, is available. PCR-WEA/WEA2 is equipped with a digital interface (LAN / USB / RS232C) as standard.

④ DC output 100% of the rated power (DC 0 to ± 438V)

The PCR-WEA/WEA2 enable DC output of 100% of the AC rated power output and can also be used for DC testing. Moreover, it is a low ripple noise output.
