Thai Hibex - METALEX 2022 Exhibition Report Focus on automation application equipment with added value increased

Thai Hibex exhibited at METALEX 2022. The exhibition attracted a remarkable turnout of approximately 86,000 visitors. In this article, we will introduce the contents and highlights of the exhibition.

Thai Hibex specializes in proposing solution equipment that contributes to automation and semi-automation in the manufacturing processes of various products. The latest automation applications combined with products from six representative partner manufacturers handled by the company were on display, featuring more equipment with more value-added functions such as sensors and cameras than those on display in 2019.

New products: Metal 3D printer & electric screwdriver error-proofing (Poka-yoke) system

In particular, the following two product solutions attracted attention as highlights of the exhibition.

■MELTIO metal 3D printer

This product was launched in the wake of METALEX 2022. A Spanish manufacturer specializing in metal 3D printers, the company's patented multi-laser technology enables 3D modeling with various metal materials such as stainless steel and titanium using general metal wires. It also features compactness and high design quality.

The laser unit alone can also be used. It can also be mounted on an articulated robot to be used as an equipment for modeling larger and more complex workpieces.

■ HIOS electric screwdriver BLG-BC2 error-proofing (Poka-yoke) system

The error-proofing (Poka-yoke) system that is linked to a HIOX electric screwdriver, which has been installed at many manufacturing sites in Thailand, to prevent screws from being forgotten to close or loosen. This device was developed by Thai Hibex by applying the functions of BLG-BC2. Up to four channels can be set on the dedicated controller.

Providing easy-to-implement solutions from the customer's perspective in Thailand, where required quality standards are increasing.

Director Iba explains the concept and background behind participating this exhibition as follows.

“In the Thai market for in-vehicle components, the level of quality demanded is rising year by year. As EV manufacturing is expected to increase in the future, improving and stabilizing component accuracy will become an inevitable issue. We specialize in coordinating robot applications (screw tightening, coating, soldering, and substrate division) that help automate and semi-automate manufacturing processes. We can only solve our customers' problems if the equipment is practical, easy to install, cost-effective, and equipped with the necessary functions, not to mention high performance. We strive to propose appropriate solutions to each customer's issues, such as not only quality improvement and stability, but also labor saving, human error reduction, and takt time reduction.”

Request for Notification, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use of Personal Information

In the case the Company receives request from the individual user regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of personal information, stoppage of use by a third party or notification of use, after confirmation that the requester is the individual user, the Company will respond without delay in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Note that in the case that the request does not meet the requirements stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Act, or the reason to reject such request is permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the request may not be fulfilled.

In addition, there is no payment required or fees associated with the request for disclosure by the individual user. However, the cost of communication from the individual user to the Company, transportation expenses, and expenses associated with the preparation of materials for the purposes of individual identification will be the responsibility of the individual user.
