For companies operating in Thailand, upgrading an ERP system is far more than a simple system replacement. It represents a transformation of the management foundation—one that enables operational standardization, stronger group-wide collaboration, and enhanced governance.Thai Chori Co., Ltd. (“Thai Chori”), where Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was deployed to modernize core business operations.
Thai Chori, the Thailand subsidiary of the Chori Group, is a specialized trading company focusing on textiles and chemical products. In the textile business, the company handles automotive seat materials and nonwoven fabrics, while in chemicals, it supplies products such as food additives. Its operations extend beyond Thailand, covering triangular trade with countries including Vietnam and markets in the Middle East.

Previously, Thai Chori operated its core business on Dynamics NAV 2016. However, with the end of product support approaching, migrating to a new ERP platform became an urgent priority. Rather than simply replacing the system, the company adopted a strategy that simultaneously addressed operational challenges and improved business efficiency. A key factor was leveraging an implementation template already deployed successfully at Chori’s Indonesia subsidiary, enabling significant cost savings and reducing implementation risk compared to building a new system from scratch.
After evaluating multiple vendors, Thai Chori selected Thai NS Solutions (“ThaiNS”) as its ERP implementation partner. The deciding factor was not simply technical implementation capability, but ThaiNS’s ability to balance future group-wide expansion with practical operational realities in Thailand.
One major advantage was that PT NSSOL SYSTEMS INDONESIA, a group company of ThaiNS, had already implemented a similar ERP system for Chori’s Indonesian subsidiary. By extending and adapting the existing development template, ThaiNS achieved both development efficiency and high implementation quality.
ThaiNS’s localization capability was another key strength. Since its establishment, ThaiNS has specialized in Microsoft ERP solutions and has accumulated extensive experience in development and implementation. The company offers standardized packages designed specifically for Thailand’s accounting and tax regulations, enabling ERP solutions that align closely with local business practices.
Beyond being a development vendor, ThaiNS was highly valued for its consulting-oriented approach. Rather than simply accommodating every request, ThaiNS evaluated business necessity and cost-effectiveness, helping prioritize requirements and propose optimal solutions aligned with budget constraints.
“I had very limited knowledge or experience with enterprise systems, even from my time working in Japan. However, ThaiNS supported us from a consulting perspective during the requirements definition phase, which allowed us to move forward with confidence.
Another key success factor was the monthly progress management meetings attended by project managers and senior members from both Japanese and Thai teams, ensuring common understanding and alignment throughout the project. This created strong consensus and resulted in a highly satisfactory project outcome.”
— Mr. Nagai, Thai Chori
For this project, both companies established teams with Japanese and Thai project managers (PMs). Since going live in January 2026, the system has been operating stably without major issues.
Key benefits include:

Japanese PMs: Responsible for overall project governance, including budget management, scheduling, and final decision-making
Thai PMs: Responsible for operational process organization and requirement detailing
This clear division of responsibilities, combined with close collaboration between PM teams, minimized communication gaps that often arise in English-based multinational projects.
ThaiNS also played a critical intermediary role between Thai Chori’s local Thai staff—who understood day-to-day operations—and Japanese management, who oversaw the overall project direction. By facilitating mutual understanding and helping define realistic requirements, ThaiNS enabled system design closely aligned with actual business operations.
Ultimately, the requirements definition process also led to clearer visualization of Thai Chori’s business workflows through flowcharts, contributing to stronger internal alignment and organizational understanding.
“ThaiNS’s experienced implementation team provided highly accurate advice during requirements definition. They helped organize requests from both our Japanese and Thai teams and eliminated misunderstandings, which made project management significantly smoother.”
— Ms. Netnapa from Thai Chori
Implementation Results | Smooth Go-Live and Significant Operational Improvement
・Standardized business processes and unified operating procedures
・Reduced dependency on individual-specific work, lowering human error risks
・Faster processing speed and shorter business lead times
・Cloud-based operations enabling approvals and work execution from any location
With continuous support from ThaiNS, Thai Chori’s operational staff quickly adapted to the new system, and inquiry volume dropped significantly, demonstrating smooth organizational adoption.
“The ThaiNS team accurately understood our challenges and responded quickly and effectively to our questions. Even when requests could not be implemented exactly as proposed, they always offered alternative solutions that kept operations running smoothly.”
— Ms. Kittitara from Thai Chori
Looking ahead, Thai Chori plans further enhancements under its maintenance agreement, including deeper integration with Microsoft 365, more advanced workflow automation, and utilization of AI technologies such as Copilot.
The company is also considering building management dashboards through data integration with headquarters’ SAP system, which is expected to accelerate global data utilization and strengthen management visibility across the organization.
Thai Chori’s ERP transformation stands as an excellent example of balancing standardization, group-wide scalability, and localization. For companies operating in Thailand, ERP implementation is increasingly becoming not just a system upgrade, but a strategic business transformation initiative for the future.
