We will introduce a case study of a distribution center for parcel delivery that had been almost manually operated, but has since installed material handling equipment including a high-speed sorting UNISORTER, to achieve significant labor savings and shorten the lead time for loading.

In addition to the UNISORTER, we have installed comprehensive material handling equipment, such as the use of caster stages, camera scanners, and weight measuring machines into the conveyance line to achieve speedy sorting.

Until now, we had been using conveyors to perform work similar to manual sorting. With the introduction of material handling equipment such as the UNISORTER and caster stages, we have been able to significantly shorten the work time. At the same time, the burden on workers has been reduced. We are now able to extend the pickup time of export cargo by 2 hours, which has greatly improved our service to our customers.
