Hello. I'm Nakamura from YN2-TECH. Today, I would like to talk various matters with the three business owners who have been my soul mates since the foundation of the company.First of all, let’s me introduce each of them. Mr. Hisayoshi Miyamoto of Bright System Japan. He runs an IT company. Mr. Tatsuya Yamashita of Tattaya Sekkei. He handles interior coordination as well as improvement of office environment. Matter of fact, this cafe (YNII cafe), which we are holding this meeting today, is also designed and construction supervised by Yamashita-san. Mr. Momonari Inagaki of Inasa (Thailand) is involved in sheet metal work and equipment manufacturing. We were all born in 1982 and are 38 years old this year. Although being business owners, still looked upon as young in terms of age.

- Background of becoming a business owner in Thailand ?
Nakamura : Inagaki-san and I have a parent company in Japan and came to Thailand to manage a subsidiary. On the other hand, Miyamoto-san and Yamashita-san started a company in Thailand on their own. There are advantages and disadvantages depending on whether you are a subsidiary or your own business. In our case (there is a parent company in Japan), we are have reassurance by the support of the parent company in terms of funding, customer list, and marketing.
On the contrary, there is a demerit that the approval of the head office is required when doing new things. In the case of Miyamoto-san and Yamashita-san, you can do what you like, but I think you had a hard time getting started in financial aspect and finding customers.
Miyamoto : If you start a business out of blue in Thailand without connection, getting a job is extremely difficult. However, unlike Japan, Thailand has an environment and atmosphere that allows you to do business even from zero base. In my case, I started as doing a walk-in-sales, but there was an environment where people would at least grant me a chance to hear what I got to offer for being a same Japanese affiliated company. That environment was something I had been aware of since I was working as locally hired. That's why I thought I was able to start the business.
Yamashita : In our case, Nakamura-san was my first customer. From that point on, the circle of people spread wider and I was being introduced to more and more customers.
Inagaki : I indeed agree that the introduction by human connection is important.
Nakamura : Thailand tends to accept new things more easily than Japan. The Japanese society in Thailand has a strong connection with each other, and the referrals are most creditworthy. A word from a trusted person is more important than the media.
Age does not matter here. When I came to Thailand, I thought I had the opportunity to talk to people of all generations regardless of age or size of company.
In Thailand, Japanese people are foreigners, so there is a feeling that Japanese people help and enhance each other.
- Future image and vision that we have had since our establishment
Nakamura : I have once been asked a question by a high school student, "I want to be a president of a company, what do I have to do?" He was 18 years old when he contacted me. He said, "I want to be a president, not because only for money, but I want to be someone who is needed by the society."
Miyamoto : That's amazing.
Nakamura : He asked me how difficult the position of president was and how interesting it was. What should I answer? It's not easy to answer.
Miyamoto: : In my case, the starting point was my desire to "go on my own way." There was no such thing as looking to the next 5 to 10 years at the beginning, and I said, "Let's just do best for now." For the first few years, I just kept working 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Nakamura: Same here, I've also never had a too big aspiration from the beginning. At the time, I was just doing my best. I think everyone is the same.
Yamashita : I also worked like a mad mustang. Although I'm still a crazy horse.
Nakamura : Right. That is the greatest strength of us young managers. I hope that we would be able to have a firm vision if we continued to work hard while we're in our thirties. I would like to believe that it is our advantage.
Miyamoto : However, if we try to do everything to make our business bigger, it will bound our hand and foot. Making choices with own decision is important as consequence may lead to a hard time later.
