One-stop service for maintenance and calibration of NIKON‘s precision measuring instruments in Vietnam!

23/12/2022
Ryokosha Vietnam Co.,Ltd.

Ryokosha Vietnam supplies various precision measuring instruments for the Vietnamese market as an authorized distributor of NIKON and FUTURE-TECH. Introducing the features and strengths of the products and services offered.

Staff with NIKON-certified calibration license in charge of calibration work

After opening a representative office in 2009, we established our Vietnam subsidiary in 2011. The purpose was to further cultivate the Vietnamese market in earnest. One of the major features of our company, which operates as a trading company of precision measuring instruments such as microscopes, measuring instruments, analytical instruments, and testing equipment, is NIKON products, which we handle as an authorized distributor. We have one Vietnamese technical staff member each at our Ho Chi Minh City headquarters and Hanoi branch office who has obtained a NIKON-certified calibration work license to calibrate NIKON's measuring, testing, and analysis equipment.

This license is actually difficult even for Japanese nationals to obtain, as it requires skill, sense, and extensive work experience. The two Vietnamese engineers who have obtained this license also speak Japanese, so they can smoothly perform calibration work regardless of whether the customer person in charge is Japanese or Vietnamese. Measuring instruments need to be checked for device accuracy (checking for misalignment) depending on the number of years of use and frequency of use. The specification of equipment accuracy varies depending on the stage size of the measuring instrument. We can handle 50mm to 650mm stages. In addition, as misalignment occurs because the equipment wears out over time, we perform both calibration and maintenance.

The technical staff is responsible for performing a thorough calibration and inspection using specialized tools to ensure that the performance (accuracy) of the equipment is within the equipment accuracy specification. They disassemble the product, replace parts, if necessary, clean and inspect the calibration, and issue a calibration certificate. This series of work as annual maintenance can be meticulously completed in Vietnam. This is one of our great strengths.

Establish strong connections with customers through proactive approaches

It has been over 10 years since the establishment of our Vietnam subsidiary. NIKON products boast the number one sales record in Vietnam in the field of industrial microscopes, and overall sales volume has been steadily increasing as well. This trend has not changed even in the face of the pandemic. Last year, we achieved a 10% increase in sales volume over the previous year.

Although there has not been a large increase in the number of factories, we believe that the increase in orders is the result of our proactive efforts to build good relationships with customers.

Our Ho Chi Minh City headquarters and Hanoi branch office each have one Japanese and one Vietnamese staff member in charge of sales. who are developing the business as sales representatives. We have an in-house demonstration equipment, so we also conduct tests using the customer's workpiece.

In recent years, demand for automation has been increasing in the field of measurement. In Vietnam, where turnover rate is high, personnel in charge change frequently, making it difficult to pass on measurement skills. Automated equipment can be said to be a choice that will solve this problem. We will continue to provide appropriate precision equipment based on careful listening to our customers' requests by our sales staff and build a good and strong relationships with our customers.

Expanding our technical team and focusing on approaching foreign-affiliated companies

Currently, 90% of our customers are Japanese-affiliated companies. The remainder are local Vietnamese companies, but we are planning to approach Chinese and Taiwanese companies as well as Western-affiliated companies from now onward. Japanese-affiliated companies were actively entering into Vietnamese market before the pandemic, but that has slowed to a crawl. In the future, we would like to focus our efforts on approaching foreign-affiliated companies that we have not yet been able to contact and establish new areas of business. We will also accelerate to expand our technical team. This is because we are receiving an increasing number of calibration and maintenance requests from customers in line with the increase in sales volume.

Although microscopes, measuring instruments, analytical instruments, and testing equipment are not manufacturing equipment, but they are important tools that affect the quality of the final product. We will continue to refine our technology, quality & precision, and service to firmly support our customers. Please feel free to contact us if you are considering precision measuring instruments.
