”TOKYO SEIMITSU CO., LTD.”, the general manufacturer of precision measuring instruments and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, developed the brand of “ACCRETECH”. This year they celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding and are growing up to be a global company who has bases in Europe and North and South America, too. The Thai subsidiary was established in 2010.

This time, we interviewed Mr. Mamoru Watanabe, Managing Director of ALPHA TOOL ASIA and Mr. Motoshi Hagiwara, Managing Director of TOKYO SEIMITSU ・ACCRETECH (Thailand).

Mr. Watanabe: Our company was established in May 2010, but the relationship with TOKYO SEIMITSU traces back to its beginning 30 years ago. At that time, I was a sales rep in a trading company specializing in measuring instruments in Tokyo. I was still in my early 20’s and then I met the people in TOKYO SEIMITSU. They kindly taught me the basics related to measurement, such as the mechanism of pneumatic micrometers and three-dimensional measuring machines.

After that, I visited Thailand several times on business trips and our relationship continued even after I lived in the customer’s factory and worked there. If there was an inquiry “Is there any good measuring machines?”, I recommended the machines of TOKYO SEIMITSU company without hesitating. Only TOKYO SEIMITSU has measuring machines for CMM (three-dimensional measuring machines), roundness and contour shape roughness. That is my policy.

Mr. Hagiwara: There are many trading companies and shops handling our measuring instruments, but among them there are only a few companies handling only our products. If focusing on Japanese companies, it is limited to a few companies such as ALPHA TOOL Company.

Mr. Hagiwara: ALPHA TOOL Company will soon celebrate the 10th anniversary of starting their business in Thailand. They are a very important company for us. They have a wide range of customers from Japanese companies to local companies, and from large enterprises to small and medium-sized enterprises, and they are trusted by many customers. They know our measuring instruments better than any other company and understand the techniques to bring out the maximum performance of the products. Mr. Watanabe: In JIMTOF (Japan International Machine Tool Fair) held in the Tokyo Big Sight last November, I met the former staff member from TOKYO SEIMITSU who used to take care of us. We had so much fun talking about the old days like, “We had such a hard time at that time.” In the exhibition “CONTROL” held in German this May, I met Mr. Komatsuzaki again, who was the previous MD in the Thai subsidiary of TOKYO SEIMITSU (currently working in the German subsidiary).

I will never forget the kindness that they showed me in my early days. Even though it is a company, it is the people who work there who build the best relationships. I think we have treasured our constant bond of trust, so we are here now. TOKYO SEIMITSU is an indispensable company for me. Now, and in the future too.

Mr. Hagiwara: Once we decide to sell new products, we arrange an opportunity to introduce the products in detail and teach operational know-how in the agency associations held regularly. Of course, we have asked ALPHA TOOL Company to join us every time, but in addition we strengthen the coordination by providing the product’s explanations as needed.

Mr. Watanabe: It has been 30 years since we started handling measuring instruments. Now we need to train the next generation. A female Thai staff, the GM of our company, who joined us in 2016 is my successor, and I am asking her to be “a specialist of measuring machines.” We might have to ask everyone in TOKYO SEIMITSU for the cooperation again at that time.

The Company will take precautionary measures against the loss, destruction, tampering, and leakage of personal information through appropriate system maintenance of the operating system and education of employees.

Request for Notification, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use of Personal Information

In the case the Company receives request from the individual user regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of personal information, stoppage of use by a third party or notification of use, after confirmation that the requester is the individual user, the Company will respond without delay in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Note that in the case that the request does not meet the requirements stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Act, or the reason to reject such request is permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the request may not be fulfilled.

In addition, there is no payment required or fees associated with the request for disclosure by the individual user. However, the cost of communication from the individual user to the Company, transportation expenses, and expenses associated with the preparation of materials for the purposes of individual identification will be the responsibility of the individual user.
