My name is Tomoyuki Yamakawa, and I have been appointed as MD of Hoshizaki (Thailand) in February 2022. I joined Hoshizaki last July, but before that I had been involved in the overseas business of air conditioning equipment for a total of more than 10 years in Asia and the Middle East. Having experienced starting a base from scratch and cultivating a market from scratch, I have found it rewarding to develop overseas businesses. Now that Hoshizaki (Thailand) is under a new structure, I would like to talk once again about our company's strengths and future initiatives.

We will take on new challenges while valuing the connection with the restaurants we have built in Thailand.

It has been about 7 years since we started business in Thailand, but I feel that there are still many things we can do. The company and I share a common desire to proactively tackle new challenges for the sake of our customers and our growth as a manufacturer. The restaurants who have survived the disaster of the pandemic over the past two years have their own strengths. We will place even greater emphasis on the connections we have built with them, and we strongly hope to work together to boost the Thai food and beverage industry.

In the Thai ice maker market, there are various manufacturers from cheap products to first-class brands, but Hoshizaki stands out in terms of high quality.

Ice maker is our flagship product and boasts the No. 1 share in the industry worldwide. Thanks to our customers, we also have the largest market share in Thailand, but in terms of ice demand, delivered tube ice is still the mainstream, and the culture of installing a restaurant’s own ice maker to cover use has not yet taken root. We would like to expand the number of new users in the future by letting them know about the high-quality ice made with Hoshizaki’s ice makers.

Using the ice maker as a starting point for the introduction of Hoshizaki products, we will proactively make total proposals for kitchen equipment including refrigerators and dishwashers. By having products from the same manufacturer, maintenance time, labor, and cost can be reduced, which is a great benefit to our customers.

Be flexible and quickly respond to each kitchen situation

We believe that the key to our future initiatives is "flexible response." Each shop's kitchen has its own requirements in terms of design, functionality, delivery timing, and other factors, and it is extremely important to be able to respond flexibly to those requirements and to deliver the products quickly. We would also like to actively work on strengthening our after-sales maintenance and service.

Management of Personal Information

The Company will maintain the accuracy of personal information and manage it safely.
The Company will take appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, destruction, tampering or leakage of personal information.
The Company will take precautionary measures against the loss, destruction, tampering, and leakage of personal information through appropriate system maintenance of the operating system and education of employees.

Request for Notification, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use of Personal Information

In the case the Company receives request from the individual user regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of personal information, stoppage of use by a third party or notification of use, after confirmation that the requester is the individual user, the Company will respond without delay in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Note that in the case that the request does not meet the requirements stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Act, or the reason to reject such request is permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the request may not be fulfilled.

In addition, there is no payment required or fees associated with the request for disclosure by the individual user. However, the cost of communication from the individual user to the Company, transportation expenses, and expenses associated with the preparation of materials for the purposes of individual identification will be the responsibility of the individual user.

Revision of Privacy Policy: The Company will review the operational status of the handling of personal information and make efforts for continuous improvement, and may change the Policy as necessary. After such changes to the Policy, the Policy will be published on the Company’s website.
